A few of our Busy Bee Preschool favorite field trips, visitors and community connections:
CONSIGNMENT SALE: Voted best Consignment Sale in 2015 – A great way to choose from tens of thousands of children’s items including clothing & shoes, furniture, toys and baby equipment. Jack and Jill also showcases local services for families in their Made by Mom boutique area.
DENTAL: Whether the preschoolers are practicing their brushing skills or watching a short presentation about good nutrition or loosing a tooth – we love the Children’s Dental team visitors at the Auburn Busy Bee Preschool location.
FLOR: LOVE these modular carpet tiles! We are using them in our Lynnwood Busy Bee Preschool and hope to incorporate into the Auburn Classrooms. Easy to connect and maintain – we love the cheerful, fun opportunity to create our own design in each classroom. For more information, check out their website: FLOR Modular Carpet Tiles
LITERACY: Busy Bees love the opportunity to climb aboard the big red bus to choose from the King County Library 2 Go literacy selection each month.
MULTI-GENERATIONAL VISITS: Each month our Busy Bees venture out to visit Wesley Homes for fun activities, story time, parachute play and (on May Day) to deliver sweet May Day flowers to the residents of the retirement community.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Miss Jami Erickson provides beautiful individual and class pictures for our Auburn and Lynnwood Busy Bee Preschools. We love her patience and phenomenal gift of capturing each child.
PUMPKIN PATCH: Our Auburn Busy Bee Preschool location loves to visit Mosby‘s Farm (a small, local family farm located in the heart of the Green River Valley, just outside Auburn) for a fun and educational annual Pumpkin Patch field trip. The Lynnwood Busy Bee Preshool enjoyed their trip to Fairbank Farm for pigmy goats, pigs and pumpkins which provided a plethora of perfect fall activities this year! The Tacoma Busy Bee Preschool is excited to visit Double R Farms for a corn maze, tractor ride, pumpkins and a chance to shoot from their pumpkin slingshots!
